Mission Unstoppable

"I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream..."

Isaiah 66:12, NIV

Are you finding ways to still find Sabbath during this pandemic? Are the days kind of running together to where you can't tell Sunday from Tuesday? Relax! You're not alone. If it wasn’t for my cell phone, most days I wouldn’t know what day it was. And you would think that the quarantine would free up some time, but I find that I’m busier than ever!

What I’ve found is that I have to intentionally pause, tabernacle, rest in the arms of Jesus. I don’t mean just sitting and doing nothing. But meditating, praying, getting into God’s beautiful outdoors, watching the sun rise or set. Sabbath.

Take a time of Sabbath, whether on Sunday or Tuesday or Thursday. It is so important to draw away & draw towards the Lord. That’s when we experience true revival – revival of our spirit. A fresh dose of the Holy Ghost!

So grab your Bible, pull up a devotion, turn on some Gospel music, take a walk - tune out the world & tune in to God! Because here's what I know for sure...

This Sunday, we’ll talk about the unstoppable mission of Jesus Christ. A mission that isn’t a job to be done but a life to be lived. Join us in the Prayer Garden at 9:00am or online at umcgt.org.

Blessings,

Pastor Linda
